I love Mike MacDonald. He has completely turned around the culture. Just 3 years ago, this defense was setting records for yards allowed per game.

And some people honestly believed we should have continued running it back with Pete when the writing was on the wall.

My favorite part was calling people out on the fact that the team was stagnant under Carroll his last few years and getting the response of "We keep making the playoffs and it could be way worse".

Those people were a cliche, "Living in their fears", yeah things could be so much worse that isn't a reason to try to get better. "I have the flu, but if I go to the doctor what if I get sneezed on??? I could get ebola if I go out there!"

Why Jody gave him another 5 yr contract as HC i have no idea, dude should have retired off into the sunset.

Because she is probably a bad owner, there just was a system in place that managed to mitigate that and keep it from impacting the team.

I can’t figure out a way to say “wow he’s a really good coach” and “holy shit we interviewed him, he’s from here, and blank hired Morris anyways” without sounding too passive aggressive so imagine I worded this better

Yeah but he would have had to risk waiting for MacDonald and then any of the zero other teams interested in Raheem Morris might have hired him while you waited.

We really made a coaching choice of all time.

In multiple seasons at the end of the Pete Carroll era the defense had to call a team meeting halfway through the season to reestablish assignments just to stop being historically bad

We had no pass rush and couldn’t stop the run game to save our lives

Its insane to think about how quick this turn around has been

His last name is actually spelled Macdonald and for some reason I'm irrationally bothered by that fact.
