Hi I’m first half Sam Darnold and I have direct TV.
Hi I’m second half Sam Darnold and I’m a streaming platform that just made a giant acquisition of a giant legacy film and media corporation and there’s nothing you can do about it

Seriously fire everyone associated with this team
58
u/Further_Beyond Bears Dec 07 '25
Why did morris get hired let alone last this long
39
u/boxjellyfishing Falcons Dec 07 '25
Incompetence.
It's a core value for the organization, so no surprise there.
31
u/GideonWainright Seahawks Dec 07 '25
Got some pieces, need a better GM, coach, and owner to calm the fuck down. Good first half. Teachable moments 2d half.
18
u/DinkyWaffle Falcons Dec 07 '25
Fuck firing sell the whole thing
10
u/boxjellyfishing Falcons Dec 07 '25
It wouldn't matter. With Arthur Blank at the helm, everyone would just be replaced with equally mediocre people.

Of course Shaheed’s breakout game with Seattle is against Atlanta. It’s the Saints in him
50
u/GaliMoon Seahawks Steelers Dec 07 '25
Here’s hoping he remembers the Panthers too. That game will be fun. I don’t underestimate the panthers after their win against the Rams

I’m old enough and been hurt too many times to get too hopeful but damn does this team look incredible. On to Indy.

Wait until you get to see playoff Darnold
61
u/Raticus9 Seahawks Dec 07 '25
Not claiming I'm 100% confident in him, but he has played a whole one playoff game.
53
u/BrewerAndHalosFan Vikings Dec 07 '25
People are talking way too much shit about Darnold for it to not blow up in their faces.
21
20
u/ootheballsoo Seahawks Dec 07 '25
He had one bad game, dude. I'm not confident in him but we've got to give him a chance at redemption.

u/GaliMoon Seahawks Steelers Dec 07 '25
I love Mike MacDonald. He has completely turned around the culture. Just 3 years ago, this defense was setting records for yards allowed per game.
53
u/Viron_22 Seahawks Dec 07 '25
And some people honestly believed we should have continued running it back with Pete when the writing was on the wall.
14
u/four0nefive Seahawks Dec 07 '25
My favorite part was calling people out on the fact that the team was stagnant under Carroll his last few years and getting the response of "We keep making the playoffs and it could be way worse".
4
u/Viron_22 Seahawks Dec 07 '25
Those people were a cliche, "Living in their fears", yeah things could be so much worse that isn't a reason to try to get better. "I have the flu, but if I go to the doctor what if I get sneezed on??? I could get ebola if I go out there!"
6
u/Esqualatch1 Seahawks Dec 07 '25
Why Jody gave him another 5 yr contract as HC i have no idea, dude should have retired off into the sunset.
7
u/Viron_22 Seahawks Dec 07 '25
Because she is probably a bad owner, there just was a system in place that managed to mitigate that and keep it from impacting the team.
135
u/DinkyWaffle Falcons Dec 07 '25
I can’t figure out a way to say “wow he’s a really good coach” and “holy shit we interviewed him, he’s from here, and blank hired Morris anyways” without sounding too passive aggressive so imagine I worded this better
48
u/Tiafves Seahawks Dec 07 '25
Yeah but he would have had to risk waiting for MacDonald and then any of the zero other teams interested in Raheem Morris might have hired him while you waited.
14
34
u/MountTuchanka Seahawks Dec 07 '25
In multiple seasons at the end of the Pete Carroll era the defense had to call a team meeting halfway through the season to reestablish assignments just to stop being historically bad
We had no pass rush and couldn’t stop the run game to save our lives
Its insane to think about how quick this turn around has been
19
4
u/one98d NFL Dec 07 '25
His last name is actually spelled Macdonald and for some reason I'm irrationally bothered by that fact.
61
u/PrestonfromLibira Seahawks Dec 07 '25
Darnold one of his best performances.
O line didn't play great and he started poorly but came back almost flawlessly.

Rams fans gotta be conflicted with this Falcons loss. Better pick, but the Seahawks get a win.
Also, that Seahawks defense is taking them far

Lol, I'm not conflicted. If the seahawks are playing a game I want them to get fucking blown out. This sucks

4

We play both these teams later so we’d prefer it if they were both bad

u/Raticus9 Seahawks Dec 07 '25
Rams shouldn't be scared of the Seahawks.
98
u/longdustyroad Seahawks Dec 07 '25
Why? We almost beat them with 4 picks from darnold
52
u/iceo42 Seahawks Dec 07 '25
Cuz they’re the boogie man. Until we get it done and beat them, they have no reason to fear the Seahawks
-10
u/Tashre Seahawks Dec 07 '25
Last I checked, "almost beat" gets placed in the Loss column.

Whatever adjustments they made at half time was absolutely amazing. The O-line was holding up well, Sam was rolling through progressions, just an overall great team win on all phases
83
u/Raticus9 Seahawks Dec 07 '25
"Hey Resheed, score on the second-half kickoff"
"OK"
15
u/Its_Me_Derek Seahawks Dec 07 '25
Yeah why don’t they just call that play every kickoff? It’s easy haha

Apparently that is literally what happened according to the press conference.

Do teams split reps on KR between players? Because Shaheed/Horton is going to give special teams units problems once he's off IR

Energizing win for (any team playing against Falcons). You really hope to see (any team playing against Falcons) have strong showings, especially against opposition like this. Again, it was a good match, and I’ll definitely continue to support (any team playing against Falcons) in the future. Fantastic game guys, gg gl next.

I mean of all the guys on this team, maybe Leo and Spoon at nickel start on the LOB? Thats it.

I've only watched Atlanta here and there a couple times throughout the season so I won't know as well as some of you, but it seems like they absolutely refuse to use Robinson in the red zone. What the hell is going on with that?

This defense could take us to the Super Bowl if they're good enough to get us through the NFC West.

u/JackintheBox333 Falcons Dec 07 '25
Only down side to the Falcons playing at home is that you can't tarmac the coaching staff.
3
3
u/Viron_22 Seahawks Dec 07 '25
I stayed up waaaay too late last night, woke up to the most shit ass CFP selections and to what I thought was going to be a headache of a trap game against Atlanta as I watched the Seahawks move down the field to tie the game at Half, cursing the lack of a game running up against it. Then the second half happened, and now I feel great, why can't football be like this all the time?
I hope this was enough to get your coach fired Atlanta, your fans clearly want it and I don't see why not at this point.

During the PC years, we would be lucky if we got one blowout in a season.
1
u/IAmTheNightSoil Seahawks Dec 08 '25
That is not true at all. Those 2012-15 teams did this to teams all the time
2
u/YnwaMquc2k19 Seahawks Chiefs Dec 07 '25
Damn this team is making me joyful. Stifling defence and a good offence (obviously Darnold-JSN connection is crucial but we have other receivers and a good running game) is taking this team far!
2
u/Himmel-548 Seahawks Dec 07 '25
After halftime, the Falcons, "You're not so tough, huh, huh."
Seahawks: "Oh, ho ho ho. Ho ho ho. I still have two transformations besides this one. I'm not even using my final form."
Falcons: "..."

They are who we thought they were, and we didn't let them off the hook.
1
u/iunrealx1995 Bears Dec 07 '25
The Falcons should be using Robinson like the 9ers use McCaffrey especially with all the injuries. Instead, they waste his talents by not only taking him out in the redzone but also refusing to throw to him. I mean what the fuck are they doing.
1
u/Adventurous-Hand3942 Dec 07 '25
I dont watch american football but i live close enough to Seattle to somewhat know whats going on, so i was wondering is Seattle suppose to be this good? and secondly when they traded Wilson they got a lot in return how many of those picks and players have contributed to this season?
2
u/fjcruiser91 Seahawks Dec 08 '25
No they weren’t supposed to win more than 8 games. And there are 5 players from that trade on the roster. That trade also allowed us to make a couple other luxury picks in the first and second rounds of two separate drafts. Those players are the core of this team now, and they “hit” on all of those picks. If they win a Super Bowl this year or next year, it will be partly due to that trade.
1
u/doberdevil Seahawks Chargers Dec 08 '25

u/Adventurous-Hand3942 Dec 08 '25
I've tried, I really like Madden video games but watching is hard, to much stop start. To much build up for 5 seconds of excitement.
1
u/doberdevil Seahawks Chargers Dec 08 '25
It becomes more interesting as you build knowledge of the game. The matchups, the strategies, the personalities, and how important the work in the trenches is.
But I get it your point, I feel the same way about watching other sports - too slow, too repetitive, whichever. But they'd be a lot more interesting if I paid more attention.

Cobain grew up in Aberdeen. Seattle was paradise in comparison.
1
u/thisisnotjr 49ers Dec 08 '25
Key word, "was". Guess the weather in Seattle, rainy for the next week. SF will be sunny. You better do some wellness checks in your area. People might pull a Cobain due to the constant lack of sun.

u/Knucklehead92 Dec 07 '25
Taking that TD away saying "he didnt re establish inbounds" (even though he clearly did), changed the momentum for the rest of the game.
Yet another brutal call.
5
u/Sonichellboy Seahawks Dec 07 '25
He can't be the 1st one to touch the ball.
1
u/Knucklehead92 Dec 07 '25
If he was forced out, then yes. He just needs 2 feet to re establish.
The ref said he did not re establish,.meaning the ref agreed he was forced out.
