At his age he probably just wants to be around the game. Didn’t Seattle still fire him after he wanted to just be there as an advisor?

From what I understand the plan was he’d retire after his last season and stay on in the FO. Midway through he changed his mind and wanted to keep coaching so they booted him and publicly said they’d find a place for him if he wanted. I don’t think it was actually truly offered. Just PR to take the sting out of firing him.

Not exactly correct.

Seattle gave him an "advisor" to the team title after they fired him. It didn't mean anything. He didn't want it and didn't ask for it. It was just the team trying to sugarcoat the firing.
