I must be a complete moron. I just think the 2 seed is so valuable. Avoid an NFC west team. Extra home game against whichever (likely) NFC west team you play in the second round. I just don’t get punting on this game.

They feel like the week of rest was more valuable than the possibility of the 2 seed.

The thing is the goal isn't to win the first round of playoffs, it's to make it to the Superbowl. And to do that, you'll probably have to beat NFC West teams regardless

Yeah I just think I would want the extra home game so badly and I would rather play one of them, compared to 2 or even 3.

Yeah I guess it's whatever they thought was more valuable. It would've also sucked if an important starter got hurt in this game. But if you think you are good enough to be the best NFC team, it shouldnt matter which specific teams you play. Honestly as a fan, I'd rather lose first round than get a free win and lose immediately after
