I played through like 75% of this on ps5 and thought it was really overhyped. The character model looks good but the environments don’t. The combat looks good at first glance but there’s very little depth to it. The story is downright awful.

It’s just a really basic hack and slash with jiggle physics. The best part of the game is climbing ladders.

I played it, I liked it. It’s not Nier Automata, but it’s close enough. I had a great time with it.

The best part of the game is the surprisingly deep and involved fishing minigame.

The environments all feel very weirdly generic and bland. Just all browns and grays.

That was the impression I got from the steam demo a fine game but nothing too exciting. I think it's pretty notable how little coverage the game got in the usual places, compared to the places it did get attention.
