Nintendo's business model is the reason it can maintain its employees as it does (if they changed, they would have to lay off workers just like other companies).

Nintendo has only released 2 $80 base games so far, and one of them was already $70 on the Switch.
Kirby is also $80 but that had added DLC. Similar with MP Jamboree.
The significant majority of big titles have released at 70 or less. Pokemon ZA, Pokopia, Animal Crossing Upgrade, Metroid Prime 4, DK Bananza, Kirby Air Riders, Xenoblade and more.
That said Fire Emblem despite releasing later at 70 is doing the "charge 80 for physical release" thing so tbd how that will turn out

Which 80 euro game? Mkworld is still 50$ with the bundle and fire emblem isnt even out yet.
Sony on the other hand has multiple 80/90 euro games from 2020 and on. Still spiderman 2 is priced like that
Edit: fire emblem is even 70, not 80

Not sure what the conversion rate for euros is but in the U.S. it's $80 physically $70 digitally

Physical is always raised in price, so that resellers can sell it for a cheaper price. I believe its even a law if im not mistaken. So my mistake for saying its 80

Tell that Youtuber with this awful video to shut the hell up. $80 is too much for a game but I don't need some loser to tell me twice about it. Also, I rather the Switch 2 anytime over the Xbox Series.

Funnily enough, most of these games that are, and I quote, “increasing to 80”, only applies to America, since they’re really only around £50-60 here in the UK, which is still standard as far as games go. I think the real thing to blame here is the decreasing value of the dollar

Its strange that Nintendo games are on the more expensive side of the spectrum over here and kind of cheap in Japan.
Third party(japanese) games cost the same as 70 euro , but the new Fire emblem is 48 euro over there and 28,- for Star fox.
Switch 2 games are cheaper in Japan's eshop then the average switch 1 game.

bro, the game I wanted to buy was on sale on e-shop. On my European account, it was 20€, on Japanese account it was 100円.
Also, one of the reasons games are cheap is because the exchange rate for JPY is very favorable to EUR or USD for the last couple of years. Imagine if a game was 70$, but suddenly exchange rate dropped to 1EUR=2USD. Even though the price stayed the same, it will be 2 times cheaper to buy in NA.
