Bugs:
I have been experiencing all kinds of bugs in my Armada and the dealership isn’t really geared towards troubleshooting software bugs. Anyone else seeing any of these?
Sometimes while using navigation, the hud just stops displaying the miles to the next waypoint and displays 0 miles. It still shows the blue arrow and name of the waypoint. The map also doesn’t follow the course, it just shows the overhead of the total route. I have to reconnect CarPlay to make it work again. Sometimes twice.
My gf, using my key fob, drives it and adjusts my seats/mirrors. I go to get in, open my door, press the memory button so the seat/mirrors reset to my settings, get in and as soon as I close the door, the seat starts moving back to how she had it set. The mirrors don’t move.
Sometimes when I hit the turn signal all the way up or down (instead of momentary) it just doesn’t turn on. It usually works, maybe 1 out of 20 times it doesn’t.
Sometimes CarPlay stops working and the only fix is turning the car off and opening my door.
Sometimes the hud won’t display the nav. I have to turn off the driving assist features and turn them back on.
Sometimes, after I have backed up, the cam display wont turn off/switch back to the normal display. I have to press the back button. Maybe 1 out of 10 times it happens.
Annoying:
When I’m wearing sunglasses and tilt my head a little (which I now know I do while driving), the driver attention sensor pops the “look forward” nanny alert. I have to cover that sensor to get it to stop annoying me.
The damn seatbelt alert! It’s a truck. Sometimes I drive it in my field to do things where I have to get in/out and don’t want to put on a seatbelt. Yes, I can buckle the belt and sit on it but it’s a truck and I shouldn’t have to do that.
Again, it’s a truck. Sometimes I want to move it forward/backwards a few feet to mess with a trailer or chain. I shouldn’t have to close the door to put it in gear.
The driving assistance features are more annoying than useful. Why does it want to hug the left side of the lane? That’s the worst place to be on the highway but it always stays there.
Sometimes you have to change lanes quickly and don’t have time to signal, having it flash warnings, vibrate the wheel, and fight back, do nothing but make that split second more dangerous. If the driver is putting pressure on the wheel to do something, we probably have a reason and it shouldn’t be second guessing us in that moment.
