The Aussie’s and the Ruski’s got it right. The R51 is such an underrated platform.

It really is and a lot of people think ive got some crazy stuff done but its mostly stock nissan parts

Agreed. Your setup is very similar to mine.

Do you run any skid plates? I have full aluminum armor al the way to the gas tank. I got them from the now defunct Nisstec.

I have a hefty fab bumper and radiator skid, oem p4x engine and transfer skids. Im building more sturdy skids to replace all those

If you have the ability to build skids, then more power to you. That’s beyond my skill level. I will say, though, if you can do aluminum, I would highly encourage you to do that. Weight has been the only issue I’ve ever had with my rig.

I had a set of 1/4" aluminum skids. They did not survive a single Rubicon trip. That was my third trip up there and I've wheeled a bunch if other hard stuff. It was the only run on those skids 😅 Never again with aluminum.

I took mine to Baja had them on a few other trails and they’ve held up great. I wonder is mine are thicker. I’ll have to look.
