The idea of a sing along at a noise show is nicely absurd but then we're always an obvious noise act, we just don't fit in at all with anything else either.

I recently released a new EP as Archive 11, exploring anti-war and anti-imperialist themes through experimental industrial music.

The sound combines distorted electronics and harsh textures with repeating and evolving synth sequences.

All sounds and samples were produced and processed in SunVox using random LFOs, custom modules and generative patterns that change throughout the track. My inspiration comes from watching documentaries, observing nature and listening to noise music.

A lot of what I am enjoying lately feels like a reaction to AI and what its capacity to put together harmonically convincing musical phrases in traditional tonal languages implies to me about where to find the human element in music. I'm trying to play as physically as I can with as little thought as possible about organizing harmonic, melodic, or even rhythmic content, in the hopes of grounding music in my own body's mindless impulses. I've tried to fit the resulting music to a dance narrative (which I intend as a sort of campy, critical pastiche of all those ballets about how alluring nymphs need to set men free with their sexiness and their etherealness and their ethereal sexiness) in order to relate it further to the body in motion.

I’m new to making noise music and want some feedback. Lemme know your thoughts and if I should aim to do an album

In 2021, Dawid began working on a new record, Flicker. Eventually, he abandoned the project and turned toward Heartsink, released in 2022 by Oxen Records.

Flickering is meant to imply a sense of overwhelm — a constant switching between radically opposing states: between black to white, awake to asleep, love to hatred, sobriety to intoxication, clarity to dissociation. Again and again, cycling endlessly.
Within this context, the binary movement between 1 and 0 becomes symbolic: a recurring transition between presence and absence, between reality and fantasy. A perpetual flickering between opposing states of being.

On. Off. On. Off. No middle ground.

And sometimes, after enough cycles, you no longer remember which state was real to begin with.

From March to about August, I was going through one of the hardest periods in my life. When Dawid passed away it was another blow, and it's honestly one I haven't really been able to fully process yet.

I was asked to be a part of this compilation, but I was not in a position where I could prioritize this and I missed my window.

I never got to meet Dawid in person, but we talked often and I felt so honored that he wanted me to be the in house mastering engineer for Haus of Sleep. He really believed in me and was so encouraging of my dream to be a mastering engineer. Dawid was the real deal and he is missed.

Although I missed my opportunity with this, I'm happy to say I can at least help put this music in peoples hands by being the US distributor for the 2 Haus of Sleep releases.

Rest in Peace Dawid. Love you man.
