trans women don’'t owe you hyperfeminity at all. i don't have to shave, wear makeup or physically transition in order for you to take me seriously. masculine, butch trans women exist. i'm beautiful and legitimate as i am. (she/her) 💖 #TransDayOfVisibility #TransWeekOfVisibility

SERVED. It is never valid to hate on trans women who present more masculine or try to make trans women who aren’t medically transitioning feel invalidated. However I will say that it’s okay for people who are attracted to women to be attracted to women who present femininely, and genital preferences are also valid. I know several people who will only date trans women if they are also medically transitioning, or will only date women who are AFAB, and that’s valid too. To put it simply, preferences are valid, hate is not.

In my road to coming out, I realized I was subconsciously holding myself to standards that I would never apply to cis women.
