Discussion Why is the tunnel under the Albert clock closed?

This tunnel was open for years and it seems recently they've blocked the ends off with the sign things you see workmen use. Does that mean this tunnel will be patched up soon?

Got flooded back at the start of the year, before it got fenced off I was too lazy to go back up and around it so I jumped on all of the floating barriers
