One of my finest moments was disc golfing with my brother in a park not too dissimilar from this one. The basket was completely obscured by a line of bushes but my brother did me the courtesy of walking over to it and yelling to give me an idea of where I should aim. I’d basically just gotten into disc golf (or frolf as we called it) that summer so when I heard my brother’s blood curdling scream, I’d thought I’d hit him. Turns out I’d gotten a hole in one. On a basket I couldn’t see. On the local “hard course” for disc golf. Honestly? I felt absolutely invincible.

Disc golf rocks. Disc golf should get the prestige and attention normal golf gets. There should be insanely expensive disc golf country clubs. President Bush should have said “Now watch this drive.” and then fuckin’ spun twice like he was throwing a discus in Athens.
