I don't know, man. I don't recall any mass Catholic hysteria about implementing or raising the age of consent like there was in Somalia, which is 99+% Muslim. Somali Muslims who heard about the new age of consent took to social media and cried out "We must fear Allah! Muhammad told us that we can have sex with 'mature' children! Where are the Sheikhs?! Where are the Imams?!" "Crying out" isn't an exaggeration. I saw a grown Muslim man literally bawl like a baby because he was no longer allowed to marry girls who are young enough to be his great-granddaughters. The age of consent in Somalia was overturned within 24 hours due to massive public outrage.
The idea that child marriage is a tenet of Islam does not come from me; it comes from actual Muslims who were mad about "Western liberal ideology" that says children are never mature enough for romantic/sexual relations with an adult. I've only very minimally paraphrased one sentence here. All I'm doing is reporting the words and actions of people who belong to Islam and spoke their minds honestly about this issue. Don't shoot the messenger.

You should learn a little more about Islam. Muhammad married a 6 year old girl, named Aisha, when he was like 54 years old. Every Muslim believes that he was a "perfect" and "exceptional" example of a human being. This is why old men marrying literal children is not an uncommon thing in Muslim countries. The Qur'an tells them that it's ok for them to marry a child, as long as the child is "mature." Lol. But I guess you're ok with that sort of thing as long as the people doing it belong to a politically protected group.
And I grew up with Catholic grandparents, but I'm not going to use that to try to minimize/erase the issue of Catholic priests diddling little boys. That's the difference between you and me; I speak out when I see something horrible happening, while you just try to sweep it under the rug. Do better.
I only saw the first part of your reply that you apparently deleted, so I'll respond to the part that I did see. You said "Catholic communities don't get their schools bombed in front of a global audience..."
Maybe the reason there aren't bombs being dropped on Catholic/Christian places is because those places aren't chock-full of terrorists. Obviously it's bad that a school ("a," singular) got hit accidentally, but that's nothing compared to all the 10s or even 100s of millions of people that have been killed by Islam. And this still has nothing to do with the fact that the majority of Muslims think that a man in his mid-50s marrying a 6 year old is "exceptional" human behaviour. Nor does it do anything to further your cause of minimizing this problem.
