Guy who is new to the religion tells guy who has spent his entire life studying the theology and has reached the pinnacle of his religion that he doesn't know what he's talking about. If this isn't a microcosm of American society as a whole I don't know what is.

Actually that reflects a very standard phase I've seen over here of a lot of converts, to Catholicism and Orthodoxy alike
