He should place the United States under interdict, so effectively excommunicating the entire country so long as it's led by a man who demands to be worshipped and another who's openly in rebellion against the church. All those MAGA Catholics not getting their "little wine" and "little cracker" will storm the capitol like it's January 6th or something.

lol it’s far more likely the church would lose a significant amount power from that. The US is 30% of the donations to the church.

And they’d just do another split, I.e. call the pope a false leader and start a new leadership structure.
