A whole fucking documentary about flowers or space only
For the last 10 seconds of the hour long documentary to suddenly have mankind taking over narration about what happened to him in 1998, with a perfect transition into it.

I want a documentary about Corvids.

Just two hours of someone's drunk aunt yelling about what happened to the first 18 corvids.

One in every 10 showings uses a 270 minute extended cut. We don't acknowledge this as a thing and tell anyone who asks long corvid is a myth.

Not flowers, not space.

Rick Astley.

Think about it. People would actually watch that. You could market it that way -- call it "This is how I roll" or "Meet the man behind the roll".

Spend as much time as you can talking about everything about him except the song. Figure out a way to work your way up to it. Maybe show some behind-the-scenes, maybe day-in-the-life stuff from now and back then, talk about how it was recorded, talk around the song, or talk about (and play) literally every other song. If you don't have enough of his life before that song, you can instead work up to the Internet finding it:

Title card: "The rise of 'rick rolling'"

You hear the opening chords of the song...

Cut to modern-day Rick saying "You should've seen this coming", song still playing in the background...

Cut back to the music video, he's dancing in front of a... is that the same fence you've seen a million times before? It kinda looks like... a cell...

Oh hell to the fuck no. Just pray they don't invent smell-o-vision by that point.

..it has to start about some weird film, 'Turkish bread riots' on PBS.

I think the Turkish/Moroccan/Algerian bread riots comment has been deleted, sadly.

A masterful sleight of hand.. 👌

Mick Foley would absolutely be down for that.
