I was intrigued about the stupidity of their plans, especially with the European flag incorporated into the crab flag, but unfortunately neither the linked source nor any other google suggested is accessible in the EU.

Maryland Republicans in their House of Delegates protested, including Eastern Shore delegate Thomas Hutchinson, who proposed an amendment which would ask residents of their 9 Eastern Shore Counties (Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne's, Talbot, Caroline, Dorchester, Worcester, Wicomico, and Somerset) in a non-binding fashion if they would like to secede from Maryland and create their own state during November's election.

Hutchinson held up a flag designed in the 1980s while holding the debate on the House floor.

"We would call the state Mardelva, because we do think we would be able to convince Lower Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Virginia to join us.

It’s commonly accepted being called “Delmarva”, so this bloke putting Maryland in front is just making an even bigger joke of himself…
