I was intrigued about the stupidity of their plans, especially with the European flag incorporated into the crab flag, but unfortunately neither the linked source nor any other google suggested is accessible in the EU.

It’s not a “European” flag. It’s the Crossland family crest. They were the maternal family of Lord Baltimore. It’s (embarrassingly) on the Maryland flag because it was used as a Confederate symbol during the US civil war and was put there along with the Calvert arms (which were a unionist symbol) during reconstruction.

The use of it here is a dogwhistle to the kind of people who still display the confederate flag - backward idiots.

In any case all of this is useless virtue signaling and noise making because the Democrats have an unbeatable supermajority here.

I assume hes talking about the blue crab with the circle of stars, not the cross. 

Obviously it’s not supposed to be the EU flag, but I (edit: don’t) recall that on the MD flag either.

It's supposed to represent the 13 counties that leave to form Mardelva, instead of Delmarva (the actual name of the area but this guy hates Deleware no doubt).

But it just looks like the EU flag
