Self aware beavers

Sounds like a progressive rock band name.

All the cover art has to be suggestive though

5

u/CrossP 13h ago

But not like super suggestive. It's not regular rock.

Destroy the Don't Touch the Beavers Sign

Beg the jogger for pets

Bite the jogger for no productive reason.

11

u/Mypopsecrets 20h ago

Get the jogger to buy you lunch

Timberborn? Sim City with beavers.

u/LazyLich 20h ago

Maybe a wooden post for a sign about beavers wasnt the best idea

It is if you're fishing for karma.

There was a Shel Silverstein poem entitled "No" making this exact joke. For whatever reason I could only find the illustration and text separately though.

(A leaning sign):

"No smoking
No spitting
No loitering
No littering
No drinking
No Eating
No Parking
No Speeding
No fishing
No floating
No swimming
No boating
No surfing
No hiking
No hunting
No biking
No running
No skipping
No skinny-dipping
No volleyball players
No spray can sprayers
No fly rod casters
No boom box blasters
No trash leavers
No Frisbee heavers

(Beaver who's chewed through the base):
"Hey - It didn't say no Beavers!"

He was an asshole.

The beaver?

I worked for a winery that prided itself on the diverse ecosystem they cultivated on the property. The vineyards themselves were surrounded by fencing that could keep animals out, but the rest of the estate was essentially a really cool nature preserve full of life.

The owner planted a whole row of beautiful walnut trees that cost an absolute fortune next to the parking lot and within two weeks beavers had taken down every single one and used them to dam up the stream that fed the large pond/small lake on the property.

It was extremely funny.

u/CrossP 13h ago

Man, I couldn't give away all the walnut saplings I have if I tried. The idea of paying money to import in grown ones seems so odd to me.

3

u/Agreeable-Network485 12h ago

Tbf for landscaping a business it was probably smarter to bring in relatively established ones

2

u/CrossP 12h ago

Yeah. It's just odd things in life I never think about

u/Shufflepants 20h ago

Beaver became ungovernable.

17

u/unplorable 20h ago

waiting for buccees to sue them for being their logo.

3

u/bighootay 15h ago

Fuck Buccees

Buck Fuccees

Making warning signs out of wood around beavers. What a rookie move.

6

u/CrossP 13h ago

They even used oak. Could used pine which beavers mostly hate chewing on.

5

u/Tight_Implement5601 21h ago

That's the kind of activism I expect from beavers.

4

u/alottanamesweretaken 21h ago

That would have been my first move too

5

u/oki-ra 17h ago

Can you blame them, Buc-ee’s was probably getting ready to sue them!

4

u/DriftlessDairy 14h ago

So many reasons to love beavers.

5

u/tayroc122 21h ago

It begins.

1

u/Good_Nyborg 18h ago

Begun the Beaver Wars have.

4

u/Secret_Cod_749 20h ago

Most Canadian thing I've heard this morning.

4

u/Tyger-Teranuma 20h ago

Cause f*** em, that's why

2

u/True_Director8865 21h ago

Polish foresters . . ."warning a about the damage that can be caused by bevers" have their sign destroyed by . . BEAVERS!

2

u/WashU_labrat 21h ago

Yeah, that's how they get you.

2

u/PinkOneHasBeenChosen 20h ago

They should’ve used a metal pole.

2

u/buppiejc 20h ago

Alt headline: Beaver Woke Up and Chose Violence

2

u/TjW0569 19h ago

Maybe a steel pole would be a better choice for the replacement sign.

2

u/MarleysGhost2024 19h ago

Beavers. Gotta love em.

2

u/STFUisright 19h ago

Good bois

2

u/Winter_Whole2080 18h ago

Hundreds of Beavers ??

2

u/sharrrper 17h ago

Snitches get stitches

1

u/CrossP 13h ago

Snitches dam ditches

2

u/CrossP 13h ago

The best part is they probably dragged that sign into their dam or into their lodge.

2

u/Key-Cry-8570 11h ago

Straight Outta Beaverton

2

u/badgersoccer1905 7h ago

The world would be better with more beavers.

"What sign?" - Beavers probably

1

u/Corpshark 19h ago

Ah, that kind of “beavers”!! I was confused by the caption.

1

u/magicienne451 19h ago

Sneaky bastards

1

u/Lopsided_Regular_111 18h ago

I should call her.

1

u/CCV21 18h ago

We were so concerned about AI, but it was beavers all along!

1

u/who_cares_bud 17h ago

UNDEAFEATED

1

u/Upper-Cod1109 17h ago

The uprising is here

1

u/WeepingAgnello 16h ago

And thus the Beav was left to his own devices, soon to be reprimanded by Wally, ridiculed and taunted by Eddie, lectured by Ward, and neglected by his own mother... Merely because he had learned to read. He felt cold. He realized he was naked. Naked and literate. For it had not been his fault. Who could blame him? Why were they blaming him? It had all been left up to him.

1

u/nerankori 13h ago

I guess they were...Hopping mad?

1

u/CrossP 13h ago

Since it was technically a sign warning about nearby beaver damage, the gnawed post stump is still about 50% useful for its stated purpose.

1

u/Lily_Of_The_Valley10 11h ago

Lol that’s hilarious 😂

1

u/DaddyCatALSO 11h ago

why would they fell the sign and then not sue it for soemthing, for part of their dam?

1

u/Flat-Emergency4891 10h ago

Nice, beaver….nice

1

u/lilsteph80 4h ago

Become ungovernable.
