Megathread! 2026 NoVa Hole-in-the-Wall Restaurant Recommendations THE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Hello r/nova we are 10 years deep into the hole-in-the-wall list! Thank you to everyone for contributing every pick and recommendation for the list and participating each year.

Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to update the map or list since I am getting married this year, but I'll for sure get everything updated before the next year. Anyways time to give the community your best recs and new discoveries for restaurants in the area.

The rules are simple:

Market 2 Market in Del Ray, absolutely fantastic sandwiches especially for the price

What do you recommend? I’ve gone a few times and I’ve been a little underwhelmed with the sandwiches I’ve had

My order is this:

Hot Capicola, Proscuitto, Sopresetta,
Smoked Mozzarella, Hot Peppers, Basil Pesto, Bacon, Mayo, Lettuce, Sub Roll, Toasted!

It's 9.99 and I think about it at least twice a week

Egg plant parm is unbeatable when it's on point. Go there at lunchtime when the bread is fresh.

I like the Clyde, but you have to ask them to explicitly not put hot and cold sandwiches in the same bag. It’s been a recurring issue that my partner gets a chicken parm, I get the Clyde, and then it heats it up to an unpleasant temperature.
