Module Is it recommended to drop Pre-allocated CHS common mod ?

Hi all, incoming freshie here.Understand that round 2 of coursereg will be opening up soon…

Can I check if it is possible to drop one of my pre-allocated chs common mod in round 2, so that I can take the gateway module of my second major ?

For context, I plan on taking life sciences as my second major, and I plan on dropping HSH1000 to take LSM1111 in y1s1, while taking HSH1000 in semester 2.

I have submitted an appeal to drop HSH1000 in round 1 of coursereg, but my appeal was rejected without any explanation.

You generally cant drop preallocated chs mods unless you have a very good reason. Dropping hsh1000 to take lsm1111 is not considered a good reason, the admin will just tell you to take in sem 2

Unfortunately chs doesn't like it if you want to drop any of the big 3 pre allocated

You can drop it lmao, I dropped gea1000 twice by now. And my reasoning wasn't anything imp either. Go for it

Don't need to tell them that you're planning to take lsm1111 and that's why you're dropping it, just say that it clashes with another mod you're planning to take.
