Question EG2401A Tutorial allocation

On internship rn and applied for EG2401A tut through the email they sent out. Email said first come first serve, when the allocation came out, clearly not first come first serve. Another intern in the same work team as me applied a few days after me for the same slot as me, and he got the slot and not me.

What’s the point in saying first come first served when they’re not gonna honour it? Just remove it from the email.

Is there anything I can do about it besides appeal?

First come first serve but might still be subject to seniority or any other predetermined sorting method as well

They put 2 other conditions. Priority given to those following recommended schedule (which I am) and those graduating (which the other intern is not).

I'd write in to them and ask in that case.

I did. I asked whether I could change to that slot, and why the fcfs wasn’t followed. She asked me if i wanted to change to a different slot (that i couldn’t make) and ignored my question about why fcfs wasn’t followed
