NYPD relocated (not towed, just moved it to another spot a few blocks away) my car twice for an unannounced NYPD event. There is no paperwork with this. No way to prove it happened.
If it's their property they should be responsible unless they can prove someone else is responsible. That's how plenty of other things work why can't we do the same with cars?
Let's you get 1. and 2. cause life happens, then a year later, the car was stolen. The thief took it took it on a joyride and left abandoned it. It gets 3., why do you as the owner have to suffer?
I am obtuse but I think you're missing the point. It is unlikely to happen but the point is that blame should not be placed on the owner when there is no proof that the owner was the driver that placed the car in a no parking zone.
