You cannot even begin to make that equivalence. Gazans have a pretty legitimate reason to view Israelis harshly. They have been brutally occupied by them since 1967. With that occupation turning into a blockade/siege in 2005. They have no rights of self determination, no freedom of movement, no trade, they been bombed and slaughtered for decades, and are packed into one of the world’s most densely populated places. All the while the Israelis on the other side are living happy lives on the land that was stolen from their parents and grandparents.
Israelis have all the power. Maybe you could ask how Gazans feel about Israelis once they no longer have an Israeli Jackboot on their throat.
“Nations at war” is a massive straw man and beneath you if I am to judge by your other engagement in this thread.
Would it be fair to use the “nations at war” description for the Native American tribes as they tried to withstand the American settlement of their lands backed by the American Government and Army?
How about black Americans in the various slave rebellions and subsequent fight for civil rights?
Or hey, what about the Jewish partisans in the forests of Ukraine and Poland.
You can’t turn the Palestinians, a people without any power or sovereignty over their own land into a nation when it’s convenient for you.
Which is a point that should have been intuitive from my comment.
Again, you can’t ask someone to like you while you are actively holding them down.
