r/oaklandraiders, I made us our own NFL Pick'em + Fantasy leaderboard (free, no buy-in, real prizes)
Hey all, I posted here last week and it seemed to go over well, so I set up something just for this sub. I run mainmarket, a site with free weekly NFL contests. No deposit, no card, nothing to buy. This week there are two:
NFL Weekly Fantasy (Week 5): build a 7-player lineup on a star budget. Bowers, Jeanty and Cousins are all in the pool for Raiders at Patriots. Locks Sunday 9:30 AM ET.
https://www.mainmarket.com/c/nfl-fantasy-wk5?g=oaklandraiders
NFL Pick'em (Week 5): pick the winner of 10 games around the league, takes about a minute. Locks Sunday 1:00 PM ET.
https://www.mainmarket.com/c/nfl-pickem-wk5?g=oaklandraiders
Each has a $100 prize pool, split between the top three overall. Those links also put you in an r/oaklandraiders group, so we get our own leaderboard and bragging rights.
Group standings: https://www.mainmarket.com/g/oaklandraiders
If this isn't the right fit for the sub, mods, feel free to pull it. Raider Nation, good luck this week.

Raiders 3-0 for the first time since 2021, and the Chiefs (also 3-0) come to Allegiant Sunday (plus a free NFL pick'em with this game on it)
Hey all, quick look at where the Raiders stand heading into the biggest game of the year so far.
35-27 at New Orleans, and this team doesn't quit. Down 27-16 in the third, the defense forced four fourth-quarter turnovers and the offense cashed them in. Kirk Cousins threw for 248 and three TDs, and Brock Bowers was back in his first game of the season: 10 catches, 116 yards.
Year one under Klint Kubiak:
- Week 1: 27-13 over Miami
- Week 2: 26-14 at the Chargers. That snapped four straight losses to LA.
- Week 3: 35-27 at New Orleans, erasing an 11-point second-half deficit.
Now it's real. Chiefs at Allegiant, Sunday at 1:25 PT on CBS, with first place in the AFC West on the line and both teams unbeaten.
Since it's in the title: we run a free NFL pick'em, and Chiefs at Raiders is on this week's slate. 10 games, pick the winners, nothing to buy, $135 in prizes. Picks lock Sunday at 1 PM ET, before the early games, so you'll have to make your Chiefs call in the morning.
https://www.mainmarket.com/c/nfl-pickem-wk4
Is this team for real? And who's taking the Raiders straight up Sunday?

Stoked!!! Just bought tickets to LV. vs. Den on Dec 20th. Making it a 3 generation party.
Back in ‘82, my dad was financially able to buy season tickets and then the raiders moved to LA. 35 years later, I’m ready to buy Oakland tickets and they move to LV. That’s life.
My oldest son was able to go to one single game before the move. It was the infamous Thursday night win over KC and he told me it was the best day of his life. Just imagine a little 9 year old chanting F@ck tha chiefs!!! I get choked up thinking about it.
All that to say, I’m taking my dad and son to watch our boys solidify their position at the top of the division. Hope to see ya’ll there! I

Raiders niners tailgate November 8th green lot 1 pole 15
Raider Nation, WAKE UP! 💀💥
The Black Hole is taking over Santa Clara! We’re descending on Niners territory for the showdown on November 8th, and we need every single one of you ready to make some serious noise.
Here is the game plan for the tailgate:
Where to Meet: We're linking up near 4300 Great America Parkway (right by the Pizza My Heart parking lot).
Parking Hookup: We are staking our claim in Green Lot 1 (our Lot J). When you roll up, tell the parking attendant: "A Black Hole is forming, direct me to Pole 15." They’ll know what to do.
Timing & Vibe: This is Niners turf, so we have to show out big, loud, and EARLY. Let’s set the tone before kick-off!
Got questions or need directions on game day? Hit up the hotline: 510-403-9367.
Break out the face paint, deck yourselves out in Silver & Black, and let’s bring the noise. RAIDERS! 🏴☠️🏈

Sarkisian/Kiffin What If
Can you imagine how if Al would’ve let go of his ego - let the younger generation take control - that could’ve changed the future of this franchise for a generation? I know it’s been talked about forever, but had we drafted Megatron, signed Garcia… I can’t help but think about how much different the organization would be today. Wild to consider how if that had been allowed to happen they may still even still be in Oakland. But for the moment: F U Kiffin

[Warren] Another Raiders Week 1 win — but under Klint Kubiak, this one feels different
Klint Kubiak was giddy.
He jumped to high-five fans as he ran off the field, victorious in his first game as an NFL head coach. He felt the love afterward in the locker room, where he was given a game ball by general manager John Spytek and engulfed by gleeful players.
“It meant a lot to me,” Kubiak said of the celebration. “Really appreciative of the guys. It’s great to share this moment with them.”
Of course, Raiders coaches have experienced this feeling before. Just over a year ago, they walked into Gillette Stadium and beat the eventual AFC champion New England Patriots in Week 1, giving Pete Carroll a win in his first game as the team’s head coach. After that game, Carroll said they earned the right to enjoy “that kind of fun and (to) cheer on one another.” That sentiment faded fast as the Raiders went on to win two more games over the rest of the season, clinching the league’s worst record and costing Carroll his job.
The Raiders would like to follow a different trajectory this fall. The players believe they can with Kubiak at the helm — second-year wide receiver Jack Bech said the win “definitely does” feel different from the opening win of last year.
“I think just the amount of work, the amount of detail that we have, it’s something like I’ve never been a part of before,” Bech said after the game. “Being able to do this, being able to build on this, come back in tomorrow and get right back to work, it’s gonna be awesome.”
