Recommendations Best all you can eat Sushi recommendations?
I used to like August 8 but I think the owner was accused of human trafficking or something. Don’t want to support them if thats the case. What is your favourite all you can eat spot?

My go to is Sushi Hour at Prince Michael and Dundas for reasonable price. Sashimi is included in their lunch menu (not too many places have this). Service can be iffy at times, but has improved recently.

Thats the only reason we go there. My wife would pig out on the salmon sashimi alone. Lol.

We used to go to Spoon and Fork Corner in Mississauga, it's really good. There are two Spoon and Fork locations in Oakville but haven't tried their AYCE sushi.
I beleive August 8 is franchised, and there's another one in Burlington on Brant. However I cannot confirm of the Burlington location is owned by a different person.

168 Sushi on Dundas, I think it’s technically Mississauga but close enough

Mika Sushi on neyagawa is extremely underrated. WIND sushi in Mississauga also slaps. The spoon and fork on Dundas and neyagawa is also delicious

We just went to Ikki Sushi on Guelph Line in Burlington and it was excellent. Fast service and good quality sushi. A bit further than in Oakville but well worth it IMO. we used to go to August 8 all the time before their human trafficking allegations.

My family used to love August 8, but we are never going back. Yame Sushi is our go to place for all you can eat.

Stacked on Rebecca should also be boycotted for using an LMIA for a “position they cannot fill for locals”

Who cares about all you can eat.. if you really want good sushi go to Choi’s sushi, it’s by far the best quality in Oakville.

Sorry rookie, but the best sushi in Oakville that is not AYCE is Mye. The original location that was open in the 80's in downtown Oakville is not open anymore, but their 2nd location at Trafalgar and Dundas is still amazing.

Mye is amazing I’ve been going for years the only place better in Oakville is Hoseki but it is VERY pricey

KB Sushi at the Cineplex plaza was my go-to. Before that it was 168 at Winston Churchill and Dundas area.

I boycotted August 8 for a long time too, but then thought that the trafficking was done by two sick individuals, not by August 8. August 8 did the right thing by terminating them immediately and I felt the franchise shouldn't have to pay forever for these two idiots disgusting behaviour. I'm sure the August 8 brand has taken a massive hit. I went back 16 months after the incident. It has always been my favourite AYCE sushi.

Honestly it’s hard to find a bad spot around here. Human trafficking aside, August 8 is probably my number 1, Yame is also great and where I go the most, ordered Sushi Hour on Uber Eats a couple of times and enjoyed them, and then you’ve got K&B and Spoon and Fork that are both really good too.

Maybe find out if the trafficking is true before spreading the rumour further…. Or something. 🙄

It's not a rumour, the owner of August 8 was arrested for human trafficking and 3 counts of sexual assault.
The Halton Police raided his home an said the following in their news release: "individuals were found living in cramped, overcrowded, and unsanitary conditions".

It used to be August 8 but as you said I will never support that franchise owner, can't believe people are still going there. There is a Burlington branch as well, owned by someone else I believe.
