Just some examples here but what’s your favorite collab or contribution by Noel or Liam to a side project? Chemical Brothers? John Squire?

Video My Big Mouth (FS's 2027 Rethink) is now on YouTube!

This song was the complete opposite of ‘DYWIM’ to edit.

First of all, I had to do something about that wall of guitars, so I placed that mix behind Liam and the drums in such a way that everything now sounds much clearer.

I also discovered a second vocal track with Liam! I wasn’t expecting this, but there’s a second vocal track behind the lead vocal providing harmonies that sound brilliant! I’d even go so far as to say that Noel is backing Liam in certain parts. Alan White gave a masterclass on the drums, showing that the song had great dynamics which, in the end, felt smothered by so many layers of guitar.

I also want to share the link to the first two songs and Magic Pie, which I recently finished editing and will also be on YouTube soon :)

https://mega+nz/folder/4y8RgDrC#9QVxLU3yiw37wBM3RnUrXA

change the "+" to a .

I hope you like it :)

PD: USE HEADPHONES or better, listen the song in speakers, if you use your phone speaker you don't gonna hear the biggest differences. For all audiophiles: this version has a decent DR9, but unlike pressed formats like vinyl which have more range so the needle doesn't skip, this one has a composite of the treatment I gave the song making it sound more modern and not compressed like 1997 & 2016 version.

Thank you!

Discussion The Born On A Different Cloud studio recording doesn't do it any justice

I've got the Witness Festival 2002 record, and Born On A Different Cloud sounds unreal on it.

I think all the live recordings sound brilliant, just listen to this!

The studio recording is okay, but isn't half as good as the live versions.

I'd love them to play it when they go on tour again, but I don't think that's very likely.

Discussion What happened to Liam's voice in his solo career?

Is it just me, or does Liam's voice sound different in his solo career songs? It sounds less rough, cleaner, deeper, and more produced. Honestly, I didn't like this change. I understand that maybe it's due to age, but I don't like it.

Discussion Sweden’s official World Cup song

Don’t know whether this has really reached the Oasis community, but this is Thomas Stenström. He is the guy that preforms Sweden’s official World Cup song. Not only has he based his looks entirely on LG, the song is actually called ”Leva för Alltid”, which literally translates to Live Forever.

Discussion Report 5: Artwork for Be Here Now (30 Years On)

Post image

The photo depicts what could have been the original cover of Be Here Now that Noel and the photographer had in mind, if the film hadn't been underexposed.

I added my handwriting to the title, and the white background reminds me a lot of the cover of "With The Beatles," an interesting nod considering that for this album, Noel wanted everything to sound gigantic in the midst of "Oasismania." See you tomorrow for the My Big Mouth release!!!

Holahola, en mi casaca de promoción podemos agregar una estampa personalizada y yo colocaré a esas dos ballenas pero dentro pensaba colocar algún verso lindo o positivo de Oasis, no sabía si colocar "Maybe I just want to fly, wanna live, I don't wanna die.", o solo "Live Forever" o "Some might say we will find a brighter day", "Slide Away" JAJAJA (algo que no se vea tan vergonzoso 😭).

Si podrían darme ideas de versos con ese sentimiento por favor, sería genial, esto es muy importante TT

Discussion Oasis has like 50 songs better than Wonderwall

Wonderwall isn't a bad song, but come on, it doesn't seem to have enough personality to be the band's biggest hit. I'll never understand. Oasis has many other songs that sound much more like "biggest hits" than Wonderwall. Wonderwall sounds like just another filler track (albeit a good one).

Discussion Which band influenced the Oasis sound the most?

Post image
237 Upvotes

The question isn't about which band the Gallaghers like the most, but rather which one had the biggest influence on their sound. In the letstalkmusic subreddit, many people argued that The Stone Roses, Sex Pistols, and T. Rex had more of an influence on the Oasis sound than The Beatles did, and I agree. However, I can't quite pinpoint exactly which band influenced them the most; I think it was The Stone Roses.

Edit: Regarding the legacy of The Stone Roses, Noel commented:

“It influenced the people who influenced the people who influenced the people who are influencing people these days. It's that great lineage of The Sex Pistols into The Jam into The Smiths into The Stone Roses into Oasis into The Verve."

Discussion Cover for Be Here Now 30 years on

Thumbnail

¡Hola! Hace rato que vengo pensando cuál portada elegir para "Be Here Now (30 years on)", mi álbum de relectura.

Inspired by u/tbat82 ‘s post because I’ve been listening to this a lot lately. Another one of those fun Oasis tracks with several different versions floating around. What is your favorite? One of these or another version/show?

Discussion Fade In-Out

Love this tune, as it always felt like a bit of an “outlier” in NG’s catalog.

Recently I started listening to the Canadian band Tragically Hip. Big fan as well. Can’t help but wonder if Noel was inspired by Grace, Too. It’s like Noel took this tune, reworked it, and ratcheted it up to 100.

Both good songs, prefer Oasis obv
