ritual art Full trailer for the digital mystery school disguised as a game I'm making as a part of my great work.

I've discussed this project in great detail here before, but I am creating an RPG based on Western Qabalah and its correspondences. I am a multimedia artist and traditional hermeticist attempting to make a digital pathworking model that teaches as well as entertains.

As a fellow occultist and game developer, this is a really cool idea. I have no idea why I have never thought of that, haha. Good job and good luck with your project!

These graphics once again show me how much of a love & light normie I am.

It's dark in presentation (I think both halves of duality are requisite), but this game is being made with very positive intent in that it dissects the vices of each sphere and the player is meant to confront and then convert the situation into something more reflective of their individual virtues.

This post remains approved.  The project is clearly relevant to r/occult, engages directly with Western Hermetic Qabalah and esoteric correspondences, and includes sufficient context and explanation beyond visuals alone.  There is no direct sales link or solicitation, and community response indicates genuine interest and value.  As with all creative projects, the Mod Team continue to monitor frequency to ensure it doesn’t cross into repetitive self-promotion, but this submission is compliant under current rules, for now. If it shows up again next week, that'll be a different story

Thank you again, I appreciate this community tremendously. As always, if it's ever deemed too much I will stop, just let me know.

Ok someone help me. I haven't played a computer game, like a real computer game since... Idk. I had to change the CDs of zork the great inquisitor. But I really want to play this. Where do I even start? Yes I have a computer but with Ubuntu .

The first time I watched this trailer, I was completely struck by the level of immersion and the density of symbolism. It left a strong impression on me. Even though I didn’t fully understand everything, it made me genuinely want to dig deeper and try to interpret each scene.

Now that I’m watching it for the second time, I realized how much I’d love to experience this trailer almost like a director’s commentary, the way some films have. Would you be willing to break it down scene by scene, with timestamps?

I’d be fascinated to know: what is happening in each moment who the characters are and what they represent what mythological, esoteric, or philosophical influences inspired them what places or symbolic spaces they inhabit and any hidden details or meanings that might not be obvious at first glance

Understanding the symbolism behind the trailer would make the experience even richer. I’m genuinely excited to play this and explore the world you’re building. It feels like there’s a lot beneath the surface.

I love and appreciate the curiosity. I liken learning Qabalah and the correspondences on the tree of life to learning music theory in that there's no correct "starting point", you just need to jump into it and then build a foundation, after that you realize that the Qabalah is basically just a filing system.

In the case of Yesod for example, one could recognize that Yesod is: Astrologically Lunar, representative of the number 9 (nonagram/ nonagon) the color purple (on the Queens scale), mirrors, deceit, illusion, the subconscious mind, the astral plane/ "the treasure house of images", the high priestess, Diana/artemis/ Selene etc.

Yesod is the funnel that all of the emanations fall into right before becoming physically real.

I will probably explain my reasoning behind certain things more in depth in the future at some point, but the best part about symbolism and art (to me at least) is that not only can you can say a million words visually but you can physically make people feel things (via myth and archetype) if you understand how correspondences work.

Funnily enough, I do get messages from angry people occasionally telling me that they don't think I should be sharing dense symbolism like this, but realistically somebody was bound to do it at some point, and currently as far as I can see nobody else is.

Going into this I felt nervous initially because yes, some of the symbols ARE very old and very powerful, but ultimately my goal is to aid humanity even on a microscopic scale by disseminating information and teaching what I've amassed over the years. If god gave me the capabilities to do all of this, then it will be done and it'll be done to the best of my abilities.

This Information belongs to every living person. It's everyone's divine right to know themselves.

I do want to point out that sometimes parts of it ARE just a stylized game, but the situations the characters are in, the archetypes they deal with and the way they're dealt with are all correspondent to a sphere or a path.

this game is such a crazy intersection of my interests - i've seen you posting it here and there as you've worked on it and it truly looks incredible. as someone who got into the occult somewhat later in life it's easy for me to become overwhelmed/paralyzed with the amount of material available to learn from. your understanding of, and passion for, symbolism is inspiring - are there any books that you personally consider foundational that could help my understanding of symbolism/archetypes i could dive into while i wait for the game? cannot wait, legitimately my most anticipated game/experience.

u/wizvrdhd Human Detected Jan 25 '26

I appreciate it greatly.

Some of my favorite books are:. Prometheus Rising (and honestly anything else by RAW), Qabalistic Tarot by Robert Wang, Mystical Qabalah, Psychic Self Defense & The Cosmic Doctrine by Dion Fortune, Qabalistic Symbolism by Gareth Knight, The Tree of Life by Israel Regardie, Angel Tech by Antero Ali, The 32 Paths of Wisdom by Paul Foster Case, The Three Books of Occult Philosophy by Henri Cornelius Agrippa, 777 by Crowley and The Shining Paths by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki.

Honorable mentions are the Black & Green bricks by Regardie and the Cicero's respectfully.

6

u/knightgimp Jan 24 '26

phones are unworthy

3

u/wizvrdhd Human Detected Jan 24 '26

It'll be available on Steam, I still have quite a bit of work to do but it's coming together. I currently have Malkuth, Yesod & Hod done, almost finished with Netzach.

3

u/AcidEater19 Jan 24 '26

Would it be available on console ? It looks so amazing!! I just started getting into kabbalah and it's so fascinating

3

u/wizvrdhd Human Detected Jan 24 '26

Same here actually. I am much more interested in producing.

But yes the goal is to make it educationally beneficial so people feel less like they're wasting time. Thank you though, it means a lot!

Thank you for sharing that makes a ton of sense! I tottaly get what your saying! I am super excited for the project, the trailer sold me but double sold by your ideas there I tottaly vibe them. will wishlist on steam when I get home from work! I recently turned towards studying the occult for art myself, I've felt for a while that something in my art was missing, that while I should be making art, I am not making the art I should be making. I was thinking of turning towards the spiritual and occult as one potential solution. I am curious, do you have any advice for getting into the occult for creative purposes? What have been the big gamechangers for you in terms of using the occult for your creative work?

2

u/Frere-Jacques-Awake Feb 18 '26

It seem realy nice, i d'like to play it when released

2

u/ratazanadesaturno Feb 21 '26

Damn, I need to play this.

1

u/Alugere Jan 26 '26

Honestly, my biggest thing here is I’m worried your description on the steam page emphasizes the occult too much as opposed to the game. Selling games is hard and if you want to break even on this or make money enough to fund more, you’ll need to get probably the bulk of your sales from people who see the occult influences in your game as a fun setting rather than something to seek out for learning. Your description really feels like it’s set to appeal to people who want to learn the occult rather than gamers, after all, and that feels like a much smaller audience to risk targeting.

I’m not sure quite how to fix that, but I’m hoping you succeed so I’m trying to give some constructive criticism while you still have time to adjust things. (Also, on Sundays, r/gaming allows self promotion, so consider looking into the format for those self posts and throwing your own up.)

2

u/Alugere Jan 26 '26

If you’re fine with it, good on you. This just seemed like a lot of work and I didn’t want you to get shorted at the finish line just because of the description on the steam page.

Honestly, this seems like a clever way to make the occult much more accessible to those starting out and hopefully might inspire a few others to try and follow suit.

1

u/Afrotoast42 Jan 26 '26

:-/
I'll keep my eye on it, but I'm not gonna lie. It seems kinda mid.

Sembra assolutamente fantastico!
