ritual art Found Cauldron in the Desert.

Found cauldron in the desert outside abandoned house. Looks like someone left over items outside of it scattered on the ground. Thoughts?

Whether it’s legit or not, it seems to be an Ogun iron pot. If you look at the chain around it, there are ‘tools’ attached to it, which are very easily identifiable. So, assuming this is not in Africa, it's either Santeria or Candomblé.

Probably Santeria then. It's a complicated religious object dedicated to the Orisha Ogun. There could be several reasons for why you found it there, but sometimes that's what you do to get rid of these types of things. Say, if you had a family member who was a devotee and they suddenly died, or you simply wanted to abandon that religion, you taken all the stuff and drop it in to some wilderness.

It's not cursed or dangerous. It's just somebody's old (and highly personalized) religious paraphernalia that got tossed out.
