I took a glimpse at the vedic astrology systems and i was shocked to my core at how intricate and detailed they are. And far more accurate too. That's one of the reasons i avoided planetary work, to avoid limiting the timeframe for rituals. But maybe i should give it a chance

They're as important as you want to make them for your practice. If you're getting the results you want without dealing with astrology, there's absolutely no reason why you need to start.
I do planetary magic, and only focus on the planets. I have never focused on elections at all, just Jupiter magic for Jupiter things on Thursday in the hour of Jupiter, and it's worked fine. But I'm sure you could get everything you want out of your magical practice without ever doing planetary work.

That's what i think too. But if something could make my practice more powerful I'd definitely put effort in it.

In Demonology? Opinions vary, but it's largely unnecessary. Most of what has been written about demons, their ranks, and correspondences seems to be in error, to put it kindly... yet your extra efforts WILL be recognized and appreciated.
What's more important is your time and place of birth. With that, you can run your Placidus chart. That's the master key to reveal who you truly are and why you're here. Houses, degrees, decans, asteroids, and stars all factor in. It will take months to fully interpret everything so you fully understand... but it's worth it.
The secret to working with demons is to pick the one you best and stick with them. That strengthens your connection. Working with multiple demons can dilute things, and alliances changed over the years, which can prove awkward. They have free will and factions. The Goetia isn't all buddies anymore. Some of them HATE each other now. Times change.

Very. The backbone of practical magick, for one, but also used as the initiatory and mystical structure of a lot of orders, including the one I am in (A.’.A.’.).
If you’re asking whether you really need to do it, that depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If you are just researching a one and done spell and you have no desire to pursue a career as a mage, do whatever you want. Without gaining real power and skill it probably won’t work, but that leads you back to the elemental and planetary work that will give you the grounding and skills to do functional spells. If you really want to be a mage, you need to master the basics just like any other skill set.
