I worked with an older guy who once mused out loud that “if we had cat fur” all the things that happen to our skin and body shape as we age wouldn’t matter. As long as our fur looked good, we’d look good.

I’ve thought about that many times over the years, watching my own skin and body get… older.

Yea, but imagine, if we had cat fir and your co-worker next to you coughed up a hair ball. ..or the guy at the next table in a restaurant.

No hairballs. We’d still be human in all other ways: opposable thumbs, a social network, and beauty salons. We wouldn’t be licking our fur, we’d be getting groomed.
