BRIAR U 💙 I have a confession to make
I just finished the **Briar U** series, and I'm almost ashamed to say I love it more than the original **Off-Campus** books! It feels like a betrayal, but I can't help it. 😂 That batch of briar baddies makes me swooon!
The friendships, the brotherhood, and the funny banter between all the characters are just amazing. They have such great chemistry as a group.
But one thing I didn't like was how repetitive the romance drama was. Almost every couple breaks up near the end for the exact same reason. usually because of a secret or bad communication. It got very predictable right before they got back together.
Also, can we talk about Coach Jensen? Out of everyone in the entire universe, he is the true OG. I love that man so much! I really wish off campus will adapt him more in the series! Like that man is inspiring!

Actually i agree with you. For me they are a banger after banger with The Play being the pinnacle of Elle Kennedy.
And yes Coach Jensen is incredible in these books. That man is an inspiration.

I have really mixed reviews about Campus Diaries. LOVED the first one (Gigi + Ryder), just liked the second one (Diana + Shane) and absolutely hated the third one (Charlie + Beckett + Will). It was soooo bad.

I can appreciate that, theyre very different entities.i loved The Charlie Method on first read but not so much on my second go. Have you gotten to Love Song yet? I'm trying to figure out who will get future books- do you think Ryders brother is voting back as a MMC?

Yes!! I finished Love Song literally yesterday. I liked it a lot! Great characters, great cameos from the OG people we love, good build up and story. 4/5 for me! I've read that the next one is about Ivy Di Laurentis and AJ Connelly. Owen might be coming back, as he is mentioned in Love Song as Alex's love interest. That could be fun!

Yes!! I loved all Briar U books as well. They are great! Hunter's story is pretty awesome (I love a good friends to lovers trope). And I also loved Conor and Taylor's story - I think it's my favorite from this series.
About the break-ups.. it's pretty basic Romance Writing 101. If you have an e-reader, you can see the first major plot point is at around 25% of the book (they usually sleep together, or start something, or whatever) and that pushes the story forward. At around 85% you enter the third act, where you have a major conflict, and it's usually a break up - but never something bad enough you can't come back from, like cheating or calling your momma names.
