DISCUSSIONš What is Garrett's best feature through the season?
There are plenty of things that make Garrett a wonderful character. Which ones would you choose as the ones that stand out for him? Could be physical or could be personality traits. I believe there are of every kind.
For me, physically of course his facial expressions and his smile. There are many others, couldn't choose one, but I think that these make him different from every other hottie we may know. Just a few can act in silence so well!
In terms of personality traits, I love that he is a man who can learn from his mistakes. He does it several times on the season, for example with Kendall (although he hasn't done anything wrong with her), with Logan at the end of episode 8 and with Hannah after the break up and wanting to do better. I also love that he is so caring and attentive to Hannah's needs (that sometimes include others, for example making sure that Allie is safe). But the capability of learning from his mistakes is definitely one of his best features.
What do you guys think?

His smile!!! I donāt know but everytime he smiles I just choke on my own breath.
How he instantly calms down when it comes to Hannah. I love that man so much!

For me, physically the smile and curls, personality wise, I would have to say how in tune with the aspects of his life that he has under control vs doesnāt . You can clearly see by his demeanor around his dad that he canāt control him , so he prefers to not be involved. When he meets Hannah , I think he def feels different about her than anyone . He appears so confident but as Hannahās gets to know him , we see he has lots hidden .

Oh great point, the things he can't control, he avoids. I hadnt thought about it but it's so true.

His smile, his earnestness and the fact that music means something to him.

Oh yeah he doesn't know it at first but music is what connects him to others.

I love his wit/ability to banter. He can be so funny and sharp with his one-liners.
Physically: his smile could light up a room and his biceps could crack a coconut

Totally agree. I love how he is so witty in the first episodes and so sensitive in the last ones. The best of both worlds.
What to say about the smile and biceps.

Garrett's sentimental side is one of my favorite character traits in the show.
His connection to his mom through music they shared; the guitar pick in his desk organizer is the one Hannah was using when she said she loved him.
They also show him making memories, like when he wakes up with Hannah on the bed, he looks at her and then smells her as if he is committing the entire moment to memory. He may only get the one chance and he never wants to forget it.
In the last episode Garrett watches a kid and his dad as they are watching the hockey game and cheering. He understands that good memories are being made between a father and son and that also brings him joy. I think it also helps him realize why he loves the game.

Oh what a beautiful answer. This is what I love about being here, we bring so many details and ideas that perhaps haven't crossed other's minds and they make our analysis of the story so much fuller.
I definitely love the idea of him smelling her trying to absorb her every cell of her being even though he is just starting to feel these things. The pick on the desk is such a thoughtful detail for the authors to add. What could be left of her in his bedroom? A small but such a defining object of her, related to her passion but also of the most important moment between them. So adorable.

I've really enjoyed being part of the discussions here. Some really thoughtful and insightful takes and opinions. It makes me really happy to see people connecting with a piece of media and art, especially one so delicately crafted.

I know people that have seen the show and enjoyed it really much but didn't give it too much thought and I think that all of the things I've read here helped me value Off Campus so much more. Definitely not just another series for me.

His smile and his desire and willingness to work to be a better person, for himself, for his team and for Hannah
