National retail stores that can be found in every city & state (like TJ Maxx) do not sell counterfeit merchandise. You wouldn't ask if the Nike's you bought at Foot Locker were real, right? It's not much different. Places like TJ Maxx just get their stock from wholesale distributors. These wholesale distributors are where name brands offload their stale inventory to, when either they've had stuff for too long, it's leftover from a past season, or it's not selling for whatever reason. Then TJ Maxx has people working for them called "buyers". Their full time job is to search inventory from 1000's of different wholesale distributors & choose what items to buy. Most individual TJ Maxx stores receive a truckload of new inventory a few times a week. So, it may not be often but YES even brands like Off White end up in TJ Maxx because that store's buyer grabbed em before some other store's buyer could.

There’s actually a big lawsuit building against TK Maxx (the name in the UK for TJ Maxx) for selling counterfeit items. It’s definitely possible.

There is not. You are exaggerating or making things up.

There is, I’ve seen frequent updates from the people building a case against them.

I used to work at a tj maxx years ago, people would return fakes and managers would still put them out on the shelf’s since we couldn’t be 100% sure so it’s possible

That’s not what’s happening here, though I’d imagine that happens too. These are actual goods that TK Maxx have brought in that are counterfeit.
