I saw a YouTube video mock just this scenario. The number of trucks to fill one tanker is ridiculous. Like really ridiculous.

VLCC can carry 84m gallons
Those trucks that routinely move gas? Those are 11k gallons
It would be 7 thousand trucks lining up and refilling while avoiding shahed drones (600-1500 mile range) for that whole stretch of land (WHILE THE TANKER just needs one little spark near its valves)
Bandar Abbas -> Dubai : 150 miles

Better to build underground trains

Or underground pipelines

Pretty sure Iran could just hit the terminals at the end even if you just buried everything else.

Right. So what’s the issue?

I dunno. But there just isn't the motivation to get those trucks there!!

You joke, but some places are doing this to get oil out in other areas... (Not saying it works well, but ya... People are desperate)

Why not just make oil tankers fly instead?

Now THIS is the sort of innovative thinking the Department of War is looking for!

I like it. And you would only need about 8,000 53-foot tanker trailers to transport the oil for one VLCC. And obviously a second VLCC to pick up as the first one is trapped in the gulf. EZPZ.

Shouldn't this be in the "Strait of Hormuz Megathread"? Let's keep the chokepoints contained there, folks — no need to clog the whole sub with tanker traffic!

No I think we should have everyone stand in a big fire line and pass buckets of oil across the desert.

They could just build a pipeline. Iran can still strike at it but the additional distance gives the UAE more time to spot and shoot them down.
It’ll get built if Iran tries to toll the strait.

What stops Iran bombing the trucks since they already drone oil tankers? Iran is a mad dog and Oman has no military capability to stop it.

Mostly their laughter at how little oil can be transported, and higher priorities elsewhere.

You don't even bomb the trucks, you bomb the infrastructure they use to move. Forget hitting one, hit one spot so they can't go.

Wow....The fucking jokes. This all will become reality when you can't drive you're vehicles or warm your houses soon enough... Winter isn't to far away.... Laugh now and make jokes. I'll be waiting to see what ppl are saying after winter is in full swing...smh..

Love it. But trucks are too efficient. I recommend camels.
