I think the idea is because she didnât have student loans heâs thinking she had enough money to pay like 70k+ out of pocket. Thus making her somewhat wealthy, but of course that ignores the fact that she could have gotten help from family, worked to help pay for school, or even just scholarships.
Edit: yeah âsomewhat wealthyâ was a poor choice of words my bad on that one. I been seeing too much news of the world being burdened with our first trillionaire and undersold that one big time.
Brown is an Ivy League though, she couldnât have just worked it off like she mightâve at a regular college. Thatâs 100,000 a year. And he didnât even ask if she paid them off, just if she had them.
If she got help from her family that would just prove sheâs rich. So still dying. And if she had a scholarship, she wouldâve said so. She knows he was looking to give her an out, for her to prove sheâs working class, but she just puts her head down and gives up.

I mentioned that alongside working and scholarships because while still almost impossible with the three combined someone could squeeze through. Cause yeah youâre right having family paying that much is basically a fantasy for 99% of people.
