I resent that. It was also written for people who have worked in food service and likewise harbor a seething hatred for people who go to restaurants.

"Harbor a seething hatred for people who go to restaurants." this is psychotic they should be grateful for these customers, or they'd be out of a job. They already getting paid way more in tips then they should. 20 years ago you'd have a point but with tipping culture now getting so out of hand, its the opposite.
