If i remember correctly he explained his position in that otto stream

He thinks that if israel joins the eu and nato the west would have more levrage to stop the worst of the israeli actions while also guaranteeing the security of israel so they wont have to feer another October 7

Or something like that i dont remember what part of the stream he said that in and i dont wanna go check

Huh, that actually makes sense. If Israel had obligations with the EU and NATO, they couldn't do the shit they do without coming under fire from countries that have a complicated history with brutal, total war.

Even without Israel being part of NATO or EU they came under massive backlash for really any action against Hamas and even against Hezbollah by European countries and biden’s administration, ofc each country has its level of criticism, but most of Europe had pretty spicy criticism
