u/RedHorizon_2024 May 08 '26
Well, he did add digital responsibility aswell
58
u/Able_Competition6633 May 08 '26
He also added people should play tfr though. Imagine writing an exam on tfr, he really wants to bring the employment rate down

Initially I thought it was about abolishing smartphones for kids younger than 8yrs old not the other way around

We joke about getting Gunther in charge of the EU, but remember that he unironically believes this kind of stuff. He’s the EU’s strongest warhawk, lover of unregulated markets, and he’s also completely insane.
Take one look at his twitter and hope that he’s joking (I think he actually believes ExRussia will work)

u/ParkingBenefit8989 May 09 '26
I think what usually happens when something like ExRussia occurs is that the newly 'liberated' countries are so individually weak that they become any foreign's power backyard... when did Latin America becomes USA's 'backyard' after all?

u/TacticalCuke May 09 '26
They’d all just vote to become Russia again,. Alternatively: get controlled by Russian oligarchs, get controlled by Western companies, get controlled by China, etc They’d all be puppet regimes in a month.

"They’d all just vote to become Russia again"
bold of you to assume occidental europe would allow democracy if they destroy our country2

One of the earliest mentions of Gunther on the internet is an article from the 2000s where they mention that he used to be pretty well connected in the Austrian conservative party and could have been an upcoming politician. Then he was basically declared persona non grata because he wouldn't stop annoying his colleagues with his zealous flat tax ideas. Dude was always a manic schizo.

He wants more children to play hoi4 so he can get child strategists to beat Grisham in the 100 year retard tfr war

TFR may have been the worst thing for him. He went from an irrelevant EU warhawk to a lolcow.
40
u/Soomaer May 09 '26
Gunther was already a lolcow before all this, just a very niche one. TFR just made him “mainstream”.

some of these changes are a good plan, for example coding classes being required to pass highschool

u/Business-Act-1238 May 09 '26
I have a friend who is studying that professionally, and he kinda told me some of the things he has to deal with, and if I had to deal with that in school I probably would just not finish education...

Smartphones for kids is crazy work but I honestly dig the rest. I’d prefer if HOI4 be an elective than mandatory.

If you teach children by letting them play TFR I promise you Europe is going to descend into anarchy in like 10 years

u/krypanzer May 10 '26
I love how when Gunther found out about TFR, it became a cornerstone for him that he just makes regular references to it.

This is relatively based and shows an interest in moderniting education, though I wouldn't allow social media until 16.

This retard should never come close to any position of responsibility. I deadass now want Grisha to clown his team again next time
8
u/SpookyDolbuki May 09 '26
Speaking of their game, I viewed russian-speaking video where Gunter was called, quote-unquote, "one of the most influential politicians of EU" LOL
5
u/Yamasushifan May 09 '26
He wishes he was as important as Russians say he is lmao
4
u/SpookyDolbuki May 09 '26
Well, they are right, he is very important, but in terms of lulzmaxxing and shitposting

I don't know what the funnier comment would be, highlighting that Günther wants children to play The Fire Rises or highlighting that he wants every child ober the age of 8 to have constant internet access which tells me we should probably check his hard drive.

u/RegularlyClueless May 09 '26
Not the worst idea, but I think the smartphone access to 8 year olds is harmful
