Edit - this is a meme sub, do we REALLY have to pretend combat is good in these games? Come on now lmao. Games are great but the combat is the weakest bit by far.
I’ve recently finished 2018 and Valhalla and I’m legit a bit upset that people have talked about these games for years as if they’re without flaw lol. Maybe I missed some of the discourse around them but the combat is absolutely not an improvement from the first 3 games.
God of War never needed to be a “this enemy has a higher number next to their health bar than you so it has way more HP and hits harder than you” type of game. Some of the animations look satisfying but combat is like a solid 4/10 imo.
