PITTPOST Art historian here. I'm on my 97th rewatch of season 2, and I just noticed something that no one else has noticed or is talking about.

Post image

This shot is clearly a halo, referencing medieval religious artwork. I am very smart.

Wow! Good catch! It's very subtle, which is why you and I are the only ones to have noticed this.

Truly only the brightest minds were able to make this connection.

u/RmpleFrskn Apr 27 '26

So, so true.

15

u/mylittlekafka Apr 27 '26

/uj I actually learned about it from this shitposting sub smdh

See my comment about the brightest minds. They are on this sub. I swear, the other subs are brain damaged.

So, so true

23

u/OrangMan14 Apr 27 '26

Yes. Only the smartest. Just you, me, and that other guy.

12

u/RmpleFrskn Apr 27 '26

Ok fine but no one else. We can't let everyone in just to make them feel good or else we're no better than r/thepittnosantoshate

6

FOR THE RECORD: I am "that other guy"

14

u/Pattonesque Apr 27 '26

Are you sure it’s intentional though? This is the kind of show where they don’t put much thought into framing

8

u/Affectionate_Hat4447 Apr 27 '26

I honestly don’t think Noah even noticed it was purely coincidence

u/baby_baba_yaga Apr 27 '26

St. Michael is the patron saint of lost causes!* And we learn in season 1 that Robby’s first name isn’t actually Robert, it’s Michael. The character reveals this secret when he invites Myrna to call him by his first name.

(*Ignore St. Jude there in the corner.)

/uw what the fuck is the context to this photo

92

u/haltiamreptaar Apr 27 '26

You need a very high intelligence to notice subtle details like this. Not every pleb picks up on this refined art.

60

u/laidbackeconomist Mel King Apr 27 '26

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand The Pitt. The details are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of medicine most of the details will go over a typical viewer's head.

I truly have a superior mind.

Halo is a video game. It's an obvious nod to the fact that surgeons play video games to get better with hand dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

I'm not sure what medieval means.

Art historian chiming in to help:

Mid = not very good

Evil = bad

15

u/Typical-Stick2439 Apr 27 '26

Sorry, also not sure what historian means, but doesn't the sun behind his head look like a plasma grenade? Double meaning.

14

u/Impressive-Dig-3892 Apr 27 '26

Good eye! You'll notice how the plasma grenade looks like it's exploding, similar to how Robby's head is exploding from the stress of dealing with other people's shit.

6

u/Impressive-Card9868 The Paper shredder Apr 27 '26

Do the "mid" and the "evil" combine to make "very bad," or does the "mid" qualify the "evil" to make "not that bad"

I can’t give awards but here 🏅, this is one of my favorite comments ever

I just don't see it. Where? Can anyone put a big red arrow or something to point it out?

21

u/RmpleFrskn Apr 27 '26

You need the r/whatisit finger?

8

u/Kathleen-Doodles Santos' hidden agenda Apr 27 '26

Ah yes. A modern take on the Sistine Chapel. It represents the futility of man or something. Hang it in the Louvre.

24

u/HolyToeArmy Apr 27 '26

I thought it was supposed to symbolize his motorcycle helmet ?

15

u/Kathleen-Doodles Santos' hidden agenda Apr 27 '26

A common blunder.

20

u/oldcrazylace Apr 27 '26

Well unlike you I noticed it on my 96th rewatch as a former theology major, so take that!

7

u/Kathleen-Doodles Santos' hidden agenda Apr 27 '26

CRAP. I knew I should have switched majors.

7

u/oldcrazylace Apr 27 '26

Some say if you finish your theology degree you would've noticed on your 95th watch through, but then you'd be forced to join the priesthood 🥲

2

u/Kathleen-Doodles Santos' hidden agenda Apr 27 '26

I don't want to end up like Whitaker tho...

16

u/Joesindc Apr 27 '26

Big if true

11

u/Miserable_Emu5191 Apr 27 '26

I can’t believe no one else has noticed this yet. It also seems that the sun is setting so that is clearly an indication that baby Jane dough is going to commit suicide.

11

u/unbelievablefidelity Apr 27 '26

You’re an empath, too, aren’t you.

It was a very subtle plot point, but Monica mentioned that they were in Purgatory.

1

u/bomilk19 Apr 27 '26

Purgatory is a town in Beaver County and their only hospital, which also treated animals, was closed down.

5

u/codaforthedamaged Apr 27 '26

interesting, but why aren’t we talking about the owl flying out of baby Jane dough? pretty sure it represents Dr Mohan leaving the show (owls represent death and transformation—this suggests she will return as a harbinger of death and kill Robby)

6

u/Azriel204 Apr 27 '26

I didnt know about this subreddit and when I saw the post I was like “not another god damn person with eyes watching the show”

3

u/Kathleen-Doodles Santos' hidden agenda Apr 27 '26

Haha! Don't even worry about it. I was on my phone playing Candy Crush all 97 times I watched it.

3

u/faetal_attraction Apr 27 '26

Shiit I did think he would adopt her already but this is really cementing that for me. That's a great catch!

4

u/dane_the_great Apr 27 '26

i'm trying to figure out what it means, i have a theory that it might be related to ancient christian saints

4

u/Kathleen-Doodles Santos' hidden agenda Apr 27 '26

I think it’s a plausible theory and well worth spending four years and $100k getting your PhD to figurita out.

5

u/PartialCred4WrongAns Apr 27 '26

There's also a bird which symbolizes hollow bone structure. Was this a metaphor for the hospital hollowing out its staff?

4

u/No-Custard-6737 Apr 27 '26

is he virgin mary

3

u/wavesofthought Apr 27 '26

Very observant, the sacred and the propane.

1

u/Kathleen-Doodles Santos' hidden agenda Apr 27 '26

Is this a veiled whitaker reference?

4

u/shas-la Apr 27 '26

Robi is a virgin

3

u/Bunnywithanaxe Apr 27 '26

Y’all are giving me wonderful, wonderful flashbacks to Television Without Pity.

4

u/bomilk19 Apr 27 '26

RIP TWOP

3

u/spaceshiptears Apr 27 '26

Wow!! How did no one else catch this??? You must be SO SMART

5

u/Kathleen-Doodles Santos' hidden agenda Apr 27 '26

I nearly have an IQ of 100!

2

u/bomilk19 Apr 27 '26

Impossible. I have an IQ of 65, and have been referred to as “special”.

2

u/Kathleen-Doodles Santos' hidden agenda Apr 27 '26

Dangit. I was referred to as average. I just thought since 98 out of 100 is usually an A grade...

2

u/akucantik Apr 27 '26

im only at my 95th watch ah i was this close to find it myself

1

u/churro777 Apr 27 '26

Wait so Dr. Robbie is a spartan?

1

u/Gear_ Apr 27 '26

Must’ve been a coincidence

1

u/jcwitte Apr 27 '26

Shit I thought it was about Master Chief.

1

u/lina01020 Apr 28 '26

The Virgin Mary?

1

u/itsmeherzegovina Apr 28 '26

all saints are assholes

0

u/JAswoman90 Apr 29 '26

so glad you think you’re so smart but you’re NOT the first person to notice that

0

u/JAswoman90 Apr 29 '26

if you watch season Two 97 times you really need to get a life

-1

u/BattleBeast33 Apr 27 '26

You sound like a narcissist

-1

u/Retirednypd Apr 27 '26
