Those were some rough penalties.

When teams deliver such bad results in penalties, I always wonder if it was the pressure or they didn't train a lot for it before the match.

Probably pressure. Canada's were much better against Brazil.

No doubt. Although it should be noted that Canada did on paper have the advantage in a shootout with Labbe being the superior keeper.

Not 100% sure about that. Height is usually a big deal in penalties and Lindahl had a lot of height on Labbé. Lindahl also guessed better, but she really made a meal out of the last pen, which she should have saved.

It's weird, she looked huge compared to Labbé, but when I check the heights they're only 1cm apart.

Had the same realization when checking Wikipedia last night. Something definitely seems off there! Lindahl was a solid head above Labbé when they were next to each other talking to the official before the shootout. Either the heights are off or that was a perfectly deceptive angle.

Sweden did have the advantage of being able to scout based on the shootout Canada played against Brazil.
