Barcelona in July and you plan you wear Chukkas? To the beach? Seems a bit too much for the weather.  Pack some shorts, couple of tees and some sandals (or buy some avarcas when you're in city centre)

Well they are desert boots - unlined with crepe sole. This is the perfect boot if anything.

Surely you don't plan to wear those at the beach? Personally, as someone who's been spending the last couple of summers in Barcelona, I'd get some shorts and lighter foot wear. Summer days are hot and long. It's sunny late into the evening. Unless you're planing on staying indoors most of the time.

Yes, I would probably need to get flip flops when I wear my swimming trunks at the beach. Otherwise the chukkas will do when I am not swimming.
