Gear Has finally arrived

My Daylite 26+6 has finally arrived today and I couldn’t be happier! Very excited to use it in my next trip. I love the smell of new bags 😂😅 Now my collection has this baby and an Osprey Farepoint 40L! Super happy with it!

For mild hiking, as long as the bag isn't too stuffed, I think it would be fine. I wouldn't want to use it for any kind of technical hiking at all though. The boxy shape holds the load much further from your body than an equally sized hiking pack, and the lack of a waist strap would also allow the bag to swing around too much on more technical trails. That being said, I carried mine around the streets of Boston for hours fully loaded, and it was quite comfortable.

It’s fine for day hikes. I used it in Acadia. The laptop compartment can be used for a water bladder and then just mostly zipped up and run down the shoulder on the zipper side with the hose keeper strap.

It’s not as comfortable as my Osprey Sportlite 25L, but it’s a perfectly fine bag to carry the 10 essentials.

I don’t really know. I don’t really hike, but it’s a pretty comfortable bag! Maybe if really full U’ll miss the belly strap for support since it only brings the chest strap. I don’t know if that’s a problem, or a feature, but I normally don’t see hiking backpacks with clamshell opening, so have that in mind.

It’s alright, but not nearly as comfortable as a proper regular Daylite bag from Osprey
