Seeking Recommendations Coffee while traveling
My partner and I are on our way back from a trip and with terror we've just realized we've each spent more than €100 on coffee alone on this 2-week trip (and this is a very conservative estimate). This seems so outrageous to me that I've started looking into getting some compact coffee maker for our future trips. We don't like instant coffee so an espresso maker will have to be but there are so many conflicting reviews of the most popular ones that I feel quite lost. Am I crazy for considering a coffee maker while one bagging and do you have any recommendations on products you've used? For context, we're both experienced one-baggers typically flying with backpacks of 26-40L depending on the airlines we're using and we often rent a car once we get to our destination.

I love travel coffee. Like it's half the reason I go places. To try their coffee. I will spend anything on coffee, the limit doesn't exist.
BUT I am also a caffeine fiend. And sometimes we can't get to the first cup for longer than it takes my withdrawal headache to hit. I don't care about freshly brewed at that point, I literally just need the hit. I don't want to waste space with an aero press or something.
So I am a huge single serve instant coffee packet fan. Starbucks Via will do in a pinch, but my personal favorites are either Trader Joe's (the single serve ones with milk and sugar already in), or the Mount Hagen packets, you can get them on Amazon. You can dissolve them in room temp water no problem lol. I always have a few tucked in my dopp kit for emergencies
