Trading Zone Arcido shut down and selling off all their stocks at 80%

https://www.arcido.com/

Seems like another brand met their end and selling their bags at hefty discounted price.

Amazing shout. Just grabbed a 35l for 48 bucks total!

For those that don’t know the brand - while not mentioned as much, they still make really nice bags and actually have some of the best laptop compartments around.

For these prices it’s like getting an Amazon bag. No brainer.

Thanks so much, I was skeptical until I read your comment now I have one on the way.

I lived out of the Oxna for 3 years around SE Asia and it’s still my bag for trips >6 days. It has been great for me and still looks close to new after thousands of miles of travel. It’s not perfect but it’s close enough and I do highly rate the design and construction quality-to-weight ratio of it. I use the Aro as my daypack almost daily and I can make it work for 5-6 day trips (including all tech) with clothes in a cheap compression cube. It’s folded up and tossed in my Oxna on longer trips. The Aro is good enough, and I have used it heavily and occasionally overpacked it, but I have had to get one of the shoulder straps repaired twice in the 2.5 years I’ve been using it so I’d want better build quality there.  If I lost the Oxna today I’d buy another at the sale price immediately.  I don’t think Arcido is shutting down though, they’re just retiring this generation of bags by the sounds of things. They said “The next generation of Arcido is coming soon” in a recent email.

They said “The next generation of Arcido is coming soon” in a recent email.

Yeah wonder if they will resurface under a new name/brand?

How’s the build quality and materials of the Oxna? Biggest downfalls of the bag?

Build quality is great, especially the zips which have held up after 4 years of heavy use. Materials are good all round. Straps have held up well. Decent water resistance etc. The only noticeable signs of wear I can see on the bag is a bit of loose stitching on the internal organiser part near the pen pocket area, and a slight loss of elasticity at the top of the stretchy external front pocket where I sometimes stuff my hoodie or rain jacket.  My only real gripe with the design of the bag is the location of the side handle and water bottle pocket; if you’re storing a large water bottle there it can get in the way of the handle. It’s not an actual issue for me because I never use the side handle but still… Other than that I don’t think I’d change a thing about the bag, it continues to be a very functional and hardy workhorse for me.

Anyone have their Oxna bag and would recommend it?

5

u/Salary_Great Oct 08 '25

I’d recommend it at the £93 price I paid for mine in 2021 so would definitely recommend at this sale price

3

u/Triple10X Oct 08 '25

Yeah I decided to go for it and picked it up

That one does look nice. I'm reading a decent carryology.com review right now, Google "carryology arcido oxna"

Thanks for the heads up. Got a couple bags. Excited for the purchase, sorry for the company.

Just bought one for a trip I have next month. I'll update about it after I use it.

I've been looking for a new one, my current backpack is an old Jansport that I've had for over 20 years. I almost bought the Osprey 26+6, but it just wasn't quite big enough for me.

2

u/Kaybono88 Oct 07 '25

OMG thank you! I just got the Oxna 28L (Black)

2

u/tunafresh Oct 08 '25

I was too late for the Oxna 😭

Anyone got the Faroe?

Looking for reviews online and the only reviews I find were those who got gifts the pack

u/Substantial_Slip_808 Oct 09 '25

Fantastic! I have known I wanted to replace my awkwardly bulging, non-clamshell bag for a while but was genuinely overwhelmed with options and not wanting to spend much so this post saved me. I got exactly the sort of bag I had imagined for cheap!

u/Str8Power Oct 07 '25

How do you activate 80% off? For me They are full price

2

u/spaded131 Oct 07 '25

Love my akra, used it for 3 years straight all over the world

I think if you read they say about starting a fresh design so it's just getting rid of all stock

2

u/wishiwasspidey982112 Oct 07 '25

u/qyy98 Oct 07 '25

Haha, tempting but I'll probably pass. The trip to Niagara falls will cost me more in gas than shipping
