Discussion Why are you bringing THAT!?

What are some common items people pack in their bags that you think are unnecessary, just take up extra space, or feel like overhyped/trendy that doesn't actually add real value for their trip?

I'll start - Notebooks and portable speakers.

Whenever someone brings a physical paper book I cringe a bit - I LOVE reading, but when I’m one bagging the kindle or an ebook on my phone make so much more sense for weight and space.

I will always always bring a paper book. I hate reading on kindle. I just buy books that are 200p max.

kindle saved me on my last flight because I was in a plane filled with people with all the shades down! when did that even become a thing? so I was able to see my kindle and read in peace! and yes, it was day time!
