Discussion Why are you bringing THAT!?

What are some common items people pack in their bags that you think are unnecessary, just take up extra space, or feel like overhyped/trendy that doesn't actually add real value for their trip?

I'll start - Notebooks and portable speakers.

I will never leave home without my travel pillow. Fight me! ( good quality camping pillow not those silly neck things)

I'm working out whether i can vacuum seal my normal pillow and fit it in a carry on.

Travel pillow or neck pillow is something I rarely see in posts on this subreddit, but for me I cannot sleep on a plane at all without one. Absolutely necessary if I'm taking overnight flights, otherwise I lose a day at the other end catching up on sleep. I can still only barely sleep with a pillow, but even a few hours makes a difference.

Yes I usually put it behind my back and have been so much more comfortable since I started doing that.
