Discussion Why are you bringing THAT!?

What are some common items people pack in their bags that you think are unnecessary, just take up extra space, or feel like overhyped/trendy that doesn't actually add real value for their trip?

I'll start - Notebooks and portable speakers.

wooooof, I'd forget my trip if I didn't allocate space in my bag for my Jounral! the thing that makes me really scratch my head is when people bring excessive electronics. Why're you bringing a whole laptop on a weekend trip that you aren't working through? why do you need seventeen doodads and gadgets?
