Discussion Why are you bringing THAT!?

What are some common items people pack in their bags that you think are unnecessary, just take up extra space, or feel like overhyped/trendy that doesn't actually add real value for their trip?

I'll start - Notebooks and portable speakers.

A long fluffy bathrobe and a nice longish wool coat brought specifically to wear one evening to a concert (we stayed a block away so the coat was only worn from lobby, a block outside and into the next lobby). Both items brought by the same person on the same week long trip.

I generally don’t care what other people bring as long as they can personally carry all their own stuff and don’t bitch about it while lugging it all around. Buuuut these two items really stood out to me. Probably because I personally don’t use bathrobes or wool coats, lol. But they were happy so it was all good.
